Full Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated Training Manager to learn the development and growth of our training team. Reporting to the HR Director Training Manager will play a pivotal role in the design, development, implementation and delivery of training programmes to support our employees.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the training function and team

  • Manage the coordination of all technical training ensuring all employees have skills cards, certification and competency to carry out their role

  • Design and implement robust training process to support the training function

  • Oversee and manage the companies e-learning and LMS platform

  • To manage internal and external expert training providers to design and deliver a comprehensive programme of technical and compliance training.

  • Design and develop training programs and materials tailored to the needs departments and the business

  • Design, deliver and develop effective, imaginative, compelling and cost-effective learning solutions for the organisation

  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, workshops both in-person and virtually.

  • Identifying, creating and support the company in our apprenticeship programmes helping us utilise our levy

  • To work with the L and D administration team to provide an accurate record of technical training data that records technical skills and competence, using this data to identify skill gaps and providing a training needs analysis

  • Manage and coordinate company training programmes to include regular meetings with enrolled employees, ensuring mentorships meetings take place and managing the companies programme timeline

  • Collaborate with HR and departments to develop robust plans for the onboarding and training of new employees

  • Liaise with the management team to evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of our training to ensure a cycle of continuous improvement

  • Develop effective induction programmes for new staff, apprentices, and graduate trainees

  • Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness and success of training programmes

    The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Proficiency in scoping, developing, and delivering training to a diverse audience.

  • Experience developing and implementing training programmes

  • Knowledge of various training methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training, mentoring and e-learning programmes

  • Be willing to travel to support training delivery where necessary.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Effective communication skills

  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor

  • Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
