Training Area Operative - Variable Hours

Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative - Variable Hours at Otterburn Training Camp in Northumberland.

As the Training Area Operative you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.,

Main Responsibilities

To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are fit for purpose

Using warning systems including training control offices, radar and flags

Direct, support and advise training estate users both civilian and military

Driving and operating vehicles

Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation

Understanding of Health & Safety and manual handling

Excellent communication skills

Ability to complete documentation

Basic IT skills

Have a full driver's licence valid in the United Kingdom (essential)

Landmarc provides the support services that enable Armed Forces from around the world to prepare for frontline military operations across the UK Defence Training Estate (DTE). This includes maintaining and delivering safe and sustainable infrastructure, managing and operating training areas and ranges and delivering multi-million pound projects to improve vital training assets., By joining Landmarc you will be supporting our vision to provide the best training experience we can for our Armed Forces. We are the first and only Special Purpose Vehicle to be contracted by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) as their Industry Partner on the UK Defence Training Estate and the only company that is solely dedicated to the UK DTE, delivering essential support services since 2003.

As a Variable Hours member of staff we guarantee you a minimum of 8 hours a month, this will usually be early mornings and late evenings.

This is a flexible role, offering you the opportunity to work around other commitments, or a way of earning extra income.

Hourly Rate - £13.17

Hours of work - Variable

Contract - Permanent
