Full Job Description

Due to internal progression we are now looking to back-fill and have an open position for a Methods Engineer to join us on a permanent basis at our Market Drayton site. The Methods Engineers purpose is to manage and coordinate the Reliability projects and all associated Engineering Maintenance works.,

  • Development of the PM program through close co-operation with the Reliability teams Planning, Production and Engineering teams.

  • Ensure that the planned maintenance tasks are effective and achieve the PM design requirements of preventing failure before it arises.

  • The execution of the Reliability strategy through the development, motivation and management of the indirect team.

  • To provide technical and operational support to the site in the repair, service, operation and maintenance of production and utilities plant across the site.

  • Analysing and evaluating on a continuous basis all the information gathered, with a view to improving methods for all the important jobs and updating and correcting the existing programmes and procedures.

  • To compile KPI information about the systems utilisation, completion to plan , performance and the overall effects on reliability and OEE across the site.

  • To develop Machine Setting Files and employ SMED techniques to improve machine changeover times.

  • Custodian of Engineering documentation in relation to Area Machines and plant.

  • Engineering CI

  • Inventory of all the items and equipment which are to be maintained by partitioning the plant and parts of the plant using a multi-level numbering framework;

  • Establishment of detailed machine records

  • Drawing up of inspection and preventive maintenance programmes

  • Techniques to improve maintenance performance.

  • RCM leader - Development of the RCM strategy to improve machine performance.

  • Performance evaluation and Technical Analysis.

  • Project Engineering - Minor Design out solutions

  • RCA lead - Analysing repetitive failures and advising the engineering section of the resulting proposals for modifications.

  • Direct Management of a small team of Reliability Engineers.

    Recognized Engineering apprenticeship with HND / HNC qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Engineering experience within a Manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge and experience of plant and machine related Health & Safety / regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.

  • People management skills.
