Full Job Description

The Tenancy Sustain service provide a high quality professional practical advice, guidance and support service to residents and their families presenting with complex needs and challenging behaviour whom require assistance with sustaining their tenancy, and have been deemed at high risk of tenancy failure.

To empower residents and their families to positively engage in services that promote financial independence, raise aspirations, gain, and maintain successful tenancies and ultimately reduce tenancy failure.

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Triage referrals received to the service on a rota basis by liaising with the resident, referrer, and relevant services to identify what support is required.

  • Provide specialist housing advice to key partners and residents to ensure tenancies are sustained. Conduct case discussions with professionals wanting to make a referral to the service and respond to requests for housing related information.

  • Manage a case load to promote independent living and sustainment of tenancies ensuring cases are closed where appropriate.

  • Accurately record risk assessments, support plans, interventions, and outcomes in QL Case Management


  • To be successful in this role you will:
  • Be flexible, adaptable and innovative in your approach to service delivery in response to the changing needs of the service and the wider organisation.

  • Keep up to date with changes to welfare reform legislation and the range of welfare benefits available for people and families on low income or in receipt of welfare benefits.

  • Actively manage own performance utilising the performance framework and data to contribute to agreed key result areas and individual target
