  • We are in search of a few Teaching Assistant to join one of our schools in Cleator CA23, and one in CA23.You will be working in a classroom setting with children of all ages while being committed to helping students to become confident, secure and happy learners along with pupils with autism and identified Complex Difficulties in a supportive and nurturing environment with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

    You will be working with children who require full support as it is likely that you will come across some behaviour that you might find challenging, so it is required of "Teaching Assistants" to be calm and patient in your approach as well as being resilient and professional. The school requires you to be dedicated and committed to working with their students to reach maximum potential.

    Teaching Assistants- Responsibilities:
    - Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
    - Provide one-on-one support to students with special education needs
    - Mentor and guide students in their academic and social development
    - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
    - Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
    - Assist in classroom management and behavior support
    - Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
    - Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra assistance

    Experience working with children, particularly those with special education needs
    - Knowledge of special education principles and practices
    - Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
    - Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others learn and succeed
    - Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus
    - Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide individualized support, Do you have a valid DBS on the update system? YES/NO

    Experience:
  • Special education: 1 year (required)
