Senior Technician

The successful applicant will become part of a multi-skilled team of associates in the fit-out of vehicles and build/maintenance of electrical rigs ready for test. These electrical rigs and vehicles have to meet attribute test requirements and in certain cases you will be required to be creative and innovative in facilitating customer needs.,

• Completion of jobcard tasks, on time and to high quality standards.


• Assembly / replacement of electrical systems / components


• Manufacture / modification of electrical harnesses


• Diagnose / trace faults, rectify and validate issues


• Download software updates to vehicles/rigs as required


• Use of computer diagnostic equipment


• Read and interpret harness drawings and liaise with engineering departments


• Fitment of harnesses and electrical components


• Engineer "one off" solutions to overcome issues
  
  Applicants must be qualified to a minimum of City & Guilds level 3, IMI level 3 or NVQ level 3 in auto electrics.


• Experienced in whole vehicle component strip & rebuild


• Ability to fabricate minor brackets and jigs


• Good knowledge of Jaguar / Landrover whole vehicle electrical systems


• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle electrical faults


• Knowledge of H&S requirements, i.e. Risk Assessments, HAV, COSHH and iPoint regulations


• Good listening & communication skills


• Full UK Driving Licence


• Flexible work location, you may be asked to work on Jaguar / Land Rover sites on a secondment basis.


• Competent IT skills, especially MS Excel & Word.


• Ensure high levels of area tidiness and cleanliness at all times (5s standards).
