Senior Commercial Underwriter

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Trading Underwriter to join our established and experienced Financial Lines team here at RSA Manchester on a hybrid basis.

Your Role

This role involves working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from your selected broker accounts. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to optimise sustainable profitable business growth.

This applies to new and/or existing cases within our agreed process and defined risk appetite. You will spend most of your time working with your selected brokers identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new and existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decision.

As the Senior Trading Underwriter, you will be handling cases of a larger and more complex nature.

To be successful in your role of Underwriter you will require experience in Professional Indemnity insurance, preferably from an underwriting background but a broking background would also be considered.

You will be able to build working relationships with insurance brokers and write profitable business to ensure growth of the account.
