Electricity North West Construction and Maintenance team provides control, operation and maintenance agreements for approximately 1000 of the regions private network owners.

Our specialist teams also provide design, installation and commissioning services for high voltage supplies and private networks.

Our role

As part of the operational team, the Senior Authorised Person will own all elements including testing and commissioning of high voltage and low voltage electrical maintenance and construction projects on private and distribution networks, in accordance with HSE legislation and Electricity North West safe working practices.

As the responsible Senior Authorised Person on site you will have a sound working knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts, customer relationships and electrical safety, particularly being accountable for making the electricity network and working environment safe for our crafts people to carry out work, ensuring all operational staff and sub-contractors have the correct skills, competencies and authorisations to carry out allocated work.

  • A HNC in Electrical Engineering (essential);

  • ENW EHV SAP Including Control Directed Switching, ENW 11kV SAP including Control Directed Switching, ENW 11kV AP (desirable);

  • DNO Trained 11kV SAP (desirable);

  • SMSTS (desirable);

  • Switchgear and plant maintenance experience (desirable);

  • Project management experience (desirable);

  • A full, valid UK driving licence (essential);

  • Knowledge and an appreciation of HV construction procedures.
