Full Job Description

We are looking for a Project Officer to join our Community Safety Team, the role is based at the Lifewise Centre at Hellaby, working within a Joint Community Safety Department. The Project Officer will have responsibility for the development of force-wide projects that support South Yorkshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner priorities as well as the day-to-day running of the Lifewise Centre and the activity that is delivered within the Centre. The successful candidate will be expected to: - Develop and deliver bespoke scenario-based engagement activity at the Lifewise Centre - Develop interventions and deliver these to schools and the wider community - Work with District staff and officers to develop inputs for schools and other groups in line with the Force priorities - Develop and deliver bespoke inputs to support the volunteer and cadet programmes - Attend community events when required with cadets and/or volunteers - Work with key stakeholders to ensure that
engagement activity is relevant and appropriate The successful candidate must be flexible and able to travel throughout South Yorkshire to attend meetings and to deliver bespoke interventions. The role also involves some weekend and evening working with responsibility for managing events at the Lifewise Centre and delivering the cadet programme at various locations.

Knowledge of the priorities set by the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable - Practical knowledge of developing meaningful and productive relationships with key stakeholders to support organisational change - Practical working knowledge in the area of community safety, including intervention and, engagement opportunities

- Experience of delivering activities for children, young people and vulnerable adults - Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to pass the force A to B driving test
