Full Job Description

Our Project Engineers help monitor, maintain and report the progress and financial achievement of our projects to our Project Managers.

We are looking for Engineers either with experience within Marine who know the nuts and bolts and variances of vessels, or are specialists in the Heavy Fabrication of one or two offs.

So what will you do?

  • With your Project Manager you'll develop the Project Execution Plan outlining how, when and by whom targets are to be achieved

  • You'll be providing technical guidance and solutions to project challenges

  • Supporting the Project Manager you'll monitor, maintain and report progress and financial achievement of the project

  • Working with our on-site client team you'll make sure that issues are captured, actioned and documented

  • You'll be coordinating and expediting with cross functional teams including fabrication, purchasing, commercial and our sub-contractors on projects

  • Prepare and implement work packages, ITP's relating to project disciplines, compile and review IF's, documentation etc.

  • Understand any applicable codes, standards and specifications regarding project related compliance issues.

  • Finalising and documenting all project paperwork including arranging project wash up meetings

    Competency with MS Office and planning tools (MS Project)

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Experience in an engineering / structural engineering / ship building environment

  • Qualification at HNC/ Degree in marine or a related discipline

  • Commercial experience and knowledge of project management principles
