Production Engineer

you will be responsible for NC programming, set up reduction methods, optimisation and monitoring of the manufacturing process of a wide range of aircraft interiors components in a busy low batch, high mix manufacturing facility with a focus of producing quality components efficiently using safe and cost effective methods.Responsibilities:Writing of programs for a range of CNC machinery using various software packages.Design effective part fixture solutions for the safe holding of components throughout the machining processProvide fast support to production issues during the production processAnalyse manufacturing data to identify lean manufacturing opportunitiesEnsure standard work documentation is in place for all key process within the machining process.Investigate new modern machining techniques and technologies to enable growth and reduced manned hoursSupport relevant improvement projects that require production engineering thinking and strategy.Provide support during the process

of implementing new machineryAdherence to all company EH&S and compliance guidelinesAdhere to housekeeping, 5s and FOD rules ensuring a best in class organized working environment is always maintainedLevel of WorkThis section can be completed by providing a general description of the level of work, to include:Proven background in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a CNC machining environmentProduction experience essentialAbility to work on complex issues or projects as part of a team or without supervisionEncourage and engage the interest and participation of team goals within the teaREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESEducationRelated ExperienceSubject FieldCertification(s) / License(s)City and guilds CNC/NC qualifications or a minimum of 10 years relevant experience of CNC machining in a precision engineering environment.Strong background in the use of various programming software packages such as NX, Mastercam and Jetcam (not limited to).Extensive
