Full Job Description

You will be an integral part of the procurement team supporting the organisation in its purchasing activity. You will contribute towards the implementation of the objectives set out in the Trust Procurement Strategy, delivering operational efficiencies and process improvements.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join a well-established and dynamic team, who is responsible for the contracting and procurement across the Trust. Working towards our 2023 strategy you will have the opportunity to support some exciting projects with full support and training provided.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the data analysis of purchasing activity for the Trust, this includes analyzing expenditure information, monitoring KPIs for the team, and reporting on contract performance.

You will be one of the first points of contact for stakeholders and suppliers and will need to provide an excellent and responsive service, responding to and redirecting queries. You will develop an excellent working relationship with all clinical and corporate stakeholders and ensure that the service provided is of a high standard., The post holder is responsible for analysing purchasing and contract management data on behalf of the Trust. In addition, you will work with the team to ensure value-for-money purchasing is undertaken in full compliance with legislation, best practice guidance, and internal policies. You will provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the Associate Director of Procurement and Procurement & Contract Managers.

The post holder will need to work on their own initiative and have excellent time management skills so that they can plan, prioritise and manage their own workload.

This post will involve data gathering, monitoring, and reporting to ensure that all purchases within the Trust are compliant and deliver value for money. You will also be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity and making recommendations based on the data analysis whilst directly contributing to the team's savings targets.
