Full Job Description

The Practice Retention and Recruitment Midwife has the delegated responsibility for overseeing and managing the preceptee and Internationally Educated midwives and will work closely with the Practice Based Educator Team. The Practice Retention and Recruitment Midwife will assess the quality of a range of preceptorship activities within learning environments, determining interventions to sustain and enhance preceptorship; ensuring all service areas/learning environments apply to the Stockport NHS FT L&D pathway and local Preceptorship Policy., The Practice Retention and Recruitment Midwife will develop, co-coordinate, evaluate and implement the preceptorship programme and learning packages with consideration to contributing curriculum development, validation, and review. Support and facilitate the development of clinical practice for preceptors and Midwives, identifying learning needs, providing supervision and support structures to build education in learning environment consistency, and efficiency. Ensure all preceptors access the Online Stockport NHS FT L&D pathway and record training requirements on the Trust database and against ESR.
