PLC Programmer

· Provide Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to control such systems as car park ventilation and smoke control systems

· Use knowledge and skills to assist in solving smoke ventilation problems by offering innovative solutions

· Commission panels with the developed programs

· Troubleshoot wiring and circuits to make systems work with the relevant program

· Commission panels on site in site, troubleshooting where necessary - this requires travel to site and some overnight stays

· Ensure that you are fully up to date and aware of regulatory compliance and standards

· Willing to travel the UK including overnight stays when necessary

· Minimum ONC/HNC in an Electronic/Electrical/Engineering related subject

. CITB H&S Qualified (CSCS, SSSTS)

Experience

· A track record with programming PLC or other devices to control variable speed drives / IO Boxes and other items in response to both digital and analogue inputs

· An ability to analyse requirements and interpret these in the form of a functional program and componentry

· Capable of tracing connection problems and trouble-shooting to make sure panels work correctly
