Full Job Description

"Our parent-assisted classes follow government guidelines for early years development, ensuring a seamless educational journey. Watch your child blossom in confidence, make new friends, and most importantly, have a blast!"

  • Follow the lesson plans provided to deliver dynamic and engaging melody and movement sessions for 2-3-year-olds.

  • Build and maintain great relationships with students' caregivers.

  • Lead the pre-designed craft section of each session, keeping a close eye on health and safety.

  • The ideal candidate is an energetic and engaging individual, preferably with experience in an Early Years and/or Primary setting.


  • JUNIORS (5 hours per week)

    Our Juniors join us for 2 hours each Saturday to explore the world of performance, including dance, singing, and drama. This role involves designing lessons that will make students fall in love with the performing arts.

    Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging performing arts classes to children aged 6-8, in alignment with the Razzamataz Newcastle curriculum.

  • Teach a range of styles, including musical theatre, pop singing, and commercial dance (at an accessible level).

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Collaborate with other team members to produce outstanding performances, including seasonal presentations, annual shows, and national/international performances.

  • Encourage students in their personal development, including building confidence and life skills.

    Passion for working with young children and nurturing their creativity.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

  • Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff.

  • Adaptable and able to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs.

  • Commitment to Razzamataz's values and ethos.


  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Qualifications in performing arts, teaching, or related fields.

  • Specialism or experience in an Early Years or Primary setting.

  • Evidence of commitment to CPD related to the role.


  • You must hold a recent Enhanced DBS certificate, or be willing to obtain one prior to the start date.

    The role involves delivering high-quality, dynamic performing arts lessons to students aged 6-8, as well as leading our Razz Tots class.
