Full Job Description

Our client in Carlisle is seeking a Payroll officer to join their established team and contribute to their customer-focused payroll service. This is a flexible position you can discuss working hours and days after an initial 6 week training period in the office.

You will be responsible for processing payrolls for clients accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner using Bright Pay. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing for your assigned client portfolio, ensuring that client and employee records are maintained accurately.

Your responsibilities will include identifying areas for process improvement, managing HMRC queries or investigations. You will also handle queries from clients, HMRC, and internal colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent attention to detail, have a friendly and efficient manner when dealing with queries. An excellent command of the English language is essential. You should also have a proven ability to stay up-to-date with changes to legislation.
