Multi Skilled Engineer

Locations: Ornua Foods UK, Leek, The Multi Skilled Engineer is responsible for;
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with the schedule and undertake emergency breakdown repairs Following up tasks from PPM and order any spare parts required
Ensuring compliance to Health and safety/food safety standards at all times
Carrying out dynamic risk assessments in line with your daily tasks
Maintaining and improving standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the engineering office and workshop
Ensuring production lines are running in optimum condition
Assisting in the installation of new equipment to the site
Use and maintenance of the Mainsaver CMMS system
Development and upskilling of Engineering apprentices and line operatives where applicable
Providing both Reactive & PPM
Working on a Variety of Kit Including Cheese cutting equipment (Block/portion/Sliced/Grated), Conveyors, Multihead Weighers, Packaging Equipment & Metal detectors
Ensuring that equipment is set up and ready for shift start

Trained to L3 and relevant qualification in Engineering (HNC/ HND)
Base knowledge of food production lines/process machinery from experience within FMCG/ food industry
PC competent (Word/Excel)
Experience in trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Continuous Improvement & lean experience
