Full Job Description

  • Carrying out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards

  • Working in a fast-paced production environment to tight deadlines

  • Mechanical assembly

  • Use of power tools and basic hand tools

  • Hand fitting duties

  • Basic engineering hand skills (filing, drilling, tapping, Heli coil installation).

  • Reading assembly drawings to produce the end product to the required specification

  • Willingness to assist and participate in projects to continuously improve processes and the products

  • Working in line with the factory's Health & Safety policies

    We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Salford. The successful candidate will need to have a HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, and be able to understand general assembly drawings, read detail component drawings and work effectively in a team., ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential

  • Good computer skills (Microsoft package)

  • Ability to understand General Assembly drawings

  • Ability to read detail component drawings

  • Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings is desirable

  • SAP knowledge is desirable

  • CAD/Team Center knowledge is desirable
