Full Job Description
- Has an active and positive colleague contribution by providing ideas and solutions to improve individual and team performance.
- Ensure the plans we put in place for the people we support are person centred and the person is fully involved in all aspect of the planning and review process.
- Being able to be creative, dynamic, and adaptable to potential challenging scenarios in relation to the needs of the people we support.
- Complete all paperwork requirements in a timely manner and ensure high quality reporting and recording.
- Communicate with the people being always supported with dignity and respect.
- To be able to build a rapport with not only the people we support but the wider community including family members.
- Work in a way that enables the people supported to make decisions and choices and allow them to access new opportunities in line with the life they want to lead.
- 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with long service plus the ability to buy up to another 10 days via our HolidayPlus scheme
- Service related sick pay when 6 month probation is completed
- Eligibility to join Mencap Pension Plan where Mencap matches contributions up to 5% on a salary sacrifice basis meaning NI savings. If you don't join the Plan you start, you will be auto-enrolled after three months with us.
