Full Job Description

You will sit within the Maintenance/Facilities team, which is made up of 2 other employees, in which they hold extensive knowledge and experience about our site and machinery, and will be able to support you to bring you up to speed with all expertise you will need to know to hit the ground running!

Main Purpose of Role:

Responsible for repairing breakdowns on all services and equipment.

Ensure effective planned maintenance of the Machines and processes to meet production requirements.

Communicate issues that could affect performance and ensure that timely corrective actions are taken.,

  • Ensure self and all employees and contractors understand and comply with company's health, safety and environmental procedures.

  • Action engineering issues picked up from weekly waste hazard walks

  • Work with the landlord's representatives to resolve site issues.

  • Ensure that maintenance schedules are in place for key equipment with appropriate documented procedures.

  • Maintain and Monitor stocks of spares and consumables to support machine uptime and effectiveness and raise replenishment requests

  • Support development of quality improvement processes and close out in timely manner

  • Manage all requests through the maintenance request system so that appropriate records are available and machine history is available.

  • Develop and maintain a library of operating manuals for all equipment

  • Develop and maintain a contact list for suppliers in relation to equipment.

  • Provide cover for Site Facilities engineer during absence or holiday.

  • Ensure that plant maintenance programme is carried out and any plant issues reported promptly to management for action as required

  • Support the process of new equipment Selection through capex development

  • Develop operator maintenance plans and monitor effectiveness through audits

    NVQ level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

  • Understanding of 5S and Lean techniques

  • Proven relevant background through demonstrable experience

  • Multi skilled engineering qualification with bias to mechanical skills

  • Good communication skills - verbal and written, computer literate, Excel, Outlook and Word

  • Flexible attitude and ability to respond quickly to changing priorities

  • Worked previously in manufacturing environment
