Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Team Leader to join our existing team at/in Leeds.

The Role:

Manage Logistics Staff on a day-to-day basis. Organise staff so all required functions are covered, throughout the shift patterns.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the stores team absence/holidays and shift patterns (using the TMS system) to ensure there is adequate cover in the department. .

· Help to train new members and cross train all the team for cover in all areas of the department.

· Keep SOP's, training records and training matrix up to date and create new ones where necessary.

· Manage drivers to ensure all required areas are covered

· Ensure good relationships are maintained with other department.

· Hold weekly team meetings and regular one to one's with the team.

· Set targets and objectives for appraisals and monitor and encourage the team to reach them.

· Conduct disciplinaries if and when required

· Monitor goods in transit and report any issues.

· Monitor CRM on a daily basis, investigate and resolve any problems.

· Ensure probation reviews are conducted in a timely manner and any issues are discussed and reported in these meetings.

· Create a positive working environment, motivate and engage with all team members and give regular feedback. Ensure support is given where needed.

· Update KPI's and create new ones to monitor productivity and make the department more efficient.

· Continually look at processes to drive efficiencies in the department

· Provide cover for the stores manager.

· Check transport invoices.

· Update Clinic delivery cycles as and when required

· Manage courier relationship and cost control

· Regular stock takes and investigations to satisfactory resolution as required.

· Ensure stores area is kept tidy.

· Any other duties as required.

  • Logistics: 1 year (preferred)
