Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a locum basis to cover maternity leave. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare services to our patients. The Primary Care Pharmacy Technician will work alongside the practice Clinical Pharmacist to support the practice clinical team in all aspects of prescribing and medicines safety. The purpose of this role is to lead improvements to maximise safe and best practice in prescribing and improve the quality of patient care. You would be a point of contact for patient enquiries about their prescriptions., The Primary Care Pharmacy Technician will work alongside the practice Clinical Pharmacist to support the practice clinical team in all aspects of prescribing and medicines safety. You should be an experienced pharmacy technician, with a relevant pharmaceutical qualification, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have completed or be enrolled on the CPPE Pathway into GP Practice. You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and well organised.

North Preston Health Centre is made up of two sites.We are an Innovative Multi-Disciplinary Partnership currently made up of; GPs, nursing team, pharmacy team and an administrative team.

Our practice clinical team are made up of: salaried GPs, Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, Nurse Associates and a pharmacy team.
