Full Job Description

JLR is harnessing technology to make driving smarter, safer and cleaner. You can help create a world in which responsible, sustainable vehicles revolutionise the driving experience for generations. Our vision is to leverage the incredible potential of technology to build vehicles that not only offer a premium, all-encompassing digital experience, but that also make our customers lives better.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As part of the re-imagine strategy Jaguar is looking to completely reinvent itself and produce a small range of vehicles in the luxury segment. To deliver this at pace, a complete team covering all functions, is collocated with the Jaguar Design Studio. Within this team, Jaguar Electrical has a small, dedicated group ensuring the EVA25 electrical architecture is seamlessly delivered into the Jaguar vehicles. The mantra of the team is to make quick nimble decisions and rapidly unblock technical issues that the key technology partner may encounter.

The role would appeal to an engineer that seeks empowerment and exposure to all parts of the Jaguar business including Design, Programme, Finance, Brand and more, whilst maintaining essential links to the core Electrical team.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The role that is being advertised is to support the Electrical Manager covering Body Electronics. The role will be to interface with key areas of the Body Electronics team and understand the progress and technical issues being faced. A key part of the role is to ensure that, although Jaguar Electrical is separate from the core team, we add value to the EMA and Panthera delivery.

As the Jaguar mantra is "like no other" the successful candidate will also be required to ensure the Jaguar Switchgear differentiation is supported and delivered by the core JLR team

  • Experience of commodity delivery and proven track record of delivery of a project

  • Good technical knowledge of how systems / components are delivered within JLR or another automotive OEM

  • Knowledge of DV Planning and DFEMA

  • Supplier management experience (preferably service based, but evidence from delivery based experience will be considered)

  • Excellent stakeholder management as they will be working with an international team of engineers based in India, China and Europe.

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes JLR the perfect place to continue your journey.

  • This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees with more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work, if suitable for their role. Further details can be discussed with the Hiring Manager at interview stage.

JLR is committed to equal opportunity for all.
