Full Job Description

Join our dedicated team of compassionate legal professionals, specialising in children's social care law. From guiding families through pre-proceedings Legal Planning Meetings to advocating for the best interests of children in court proceedings, including Emergency Protection Orders, Care/Supervision Orders, Secure Accommodation/Deprivation of Liberty, and adoption cases, we handle it all with expertise and empathy. Your role will involve providing comprehensive legal advice and representing clients in the Family Court, ensuring that vulnerable children are safeguarded, and their rights protected. You'll be welcomed into a supportive environment, surrounded by experienced and friendly colleagues who share your commitment to making a positive difference in children's lives.

This is an exciting time to join a Lexcel accredited in-house legal team, which is delivering an efficient and high-quality legal service to enable the council to deliver its corporate priorities. We are looking for confident, motivated, resilient people with strong communication and influencing skills to be part of our excellent and friendly legal team., We're seeking a solicitor, barrister, or CILEX with a minimum of 2 years PQE in children's social care law. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in independently managing their caseload, providing clear and precise advice, and staying abreast of developments in this field. Effective collaboration with stakeholders and a team-oriented approach are essential qualities for success in this role.
