About this role:

Over the past year, we have been working incredibly hard to transform our products and services to make them better than ever - and we are just getting started. We are looking for a talented and motivated UI Designer who brings a strong creative lens to join our team of problem solvers and innovators.

At Just Eat Takeaway, we work in cross-functional teams of Designers, Researchers, Product Managers and Engineers. The way we work is collaborative and fast-paced.

We are looking for a highly creative UI Designer who can think creatively and systematically and translate business needs and initiatives into beautiful user-centered design work that will help shape our vision.

You'll work closely with our Principal UI designer and have a huge impact on our customer product - as well as work closely with UI designers in the Design System to help push the creative boundaries of our design language, bringing quality, interactivity and delight into all user experiences.

This is a 6 Month FTC

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Creative thinking - You will quickly bring to life creative and beautiful concepts and prototypes (Figma, Principle, Framer, etc) that visualise solutions to business needs that delight our users - translating ideas into vision types to help our business imagine our future.


• Evolving the visual language - You will continuously push the boundaries of our existing visual language to develop and evolve its look and feel, pushing for best-in-class experiences across our user experiences on all platforms (iOS, Android & Web)


• Supporting & evangelising - You will support the rest of the design team and a cross-functional working team, helping Product Designers across the organisation to push their visual craft and creativity even further.


• Communicate - You transparently communicate your progress and discuss ideas with your cross-functional team. You present well, both within the design team and to non-creative stakeholders.


• Teamwork - You take a collaborative approach and foster strong working relationships with your team and people in the wider Just Eat Takeaway team, learning from them.


• Design system - Understanding of design systems and component libraries.


What will you bring to the table?

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a UI design role


• Experience working with and contributing to design systems and component libraries (not essential)


• High-fidelity prototyping skills


• Comfortable presenting to larger audiences and senior stakeholders


• Animation and motion skills


• Ability to create beautiful on-brand illustrations


• Comfortable presenting to larger audiences and stakeholders


• Ability to take ownership, creatively solve problems, and proactively contribute to the objectives of the business
