Full Job Description

  • Support all aspects of customer services relevant to the College's Reception and Student Services areas


  • Assist with a wide range of student and prospective student enquiries and requests


  • Assist all students, clients and external stakeholders to the college in a professional manner


  • Undertake reception and telephone duties as required


  • Process student enrolments; updating and maintaining student records as appropriate


  • To maintain and update course information using the college's MIS system


  • To manage communications with potential and current students through the college's online live chat system


  • To assist with the completion of Student Support administrative tasks


  • Support the completion of reference requests, verification and council tax letters


  • To record daily Student Support enquiries


  • Attend and contribute to meetings as required


  • To promote and implement the policies of the corporation to ensure the efficient operation of its business and the welfare and interests of its students and employees


  • To undertake relevant training as required to enable the post holder to perform their duties Embrace the College's RESPECT values and values associated with new ways of working


  • To perform such duties consistent with the position as may be required by the Principal from time to time

  • - Maintain a clean and organized reception area

    Hartlepool College of Further Education seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Information Assistant/receptionist to join the Student Support team. The post-holder is expected to work effectively both independently and as part of a team and embrace the College's RESPECT values., Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role is preferred but not required
    - Proficient in using computer applications such as Google Suite, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite
    - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    - Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
    - Professional phone etiquette with the ability to handle inquiries in a courteous manner
