Monday - Saturday (3 on 4 off)
06:00 - 18:00
Hourly pay: £12.21
About the role
Humdinger are looking for someone with Hygiene Operative experience, who can maintain high standards of cleaning and housekeeping preferably with experience within a food manufacturer environment, however full training will be given.
Responsibilities:

  • To complete scheduled and unscheduled cleaning requirements to CIC's standard.

  • To maintain daily cleaning sign-off records if required for your department, ensuring correct and accurate completion.

  • Working with and always ensuring the safe use of chemicals.

  • Hygiene maintenance of staff amenity areas e.g. toilets, personal lockers, PPE lockers, canteen, changing areas, replenishment of paper towels/soap etc.

  • Maintaining hygiene standards in offices where required e.g. desk cleaning, hoovering, reception, glass door/window cleaning.

  • Environmental cleaning of production areas, this includes floor cleaning, doors, high-level and low-level walls, food contact and nonfood contact equipment, sink washing, emptying bins, replenishment of paper towels/soap etc.

  • Carry out titration checks including checks on self-dosing chemical units where required, as instructed and as trained by the Hygiene Supervisor by the procedure.

  • To work in a manner that promotes due care for yourself and work colleagues

  • Ensure the safety, legality and GMP standards of the production and welfare facility.

  • Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Health & Safety and Hygiene

  • The ability to work effectively under the pressure of time and clean to a high standard.

  • Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your line manager.

  • Ensure all relevant safety signs (such as Wet Floor Warning Signs) are used correctly and appropriately at all times

  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel including external contractors.

  • To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business and as directed by the Line Manager.

  • Be aware of colour coding for all cleaning equipment to ensure no cross-contamination.

  • Support with stock counts and escalation of any items when levels are running low.

    Previous experience within a hygiene role.

  • Working with chemicals.

  • Working at height (Scissor Lift/cherry picker)

  • A passion for hygiene and working to the correct procedures and processes.

  • Working in a food manufacturing environment


  • Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance

  • Good understanding of hygiene chemicals.
