Full Job Description

This is a newly created role that will grow and evolve, just like our ideal colleague. We have an exciting new position for an HR and Payroll Assistant to join a small team who achieve big things! Predominately supporting our Payroll Officer, the HR and Payroll assistant will have a natural flair for working with numbers and data and thrive on working with various systems and spreadsheets. Alongside payroll support, the role will cover administrative support to the wider HR department, it's a real team effort! In return, we can offer you a great working environment and opportunities for career development., · Support Payroll Officer to process payroll on a monthly cycle for circa 600 employees

· Gather, calculate, and input payroll data alongside updating HR and payroll systems (e.g. new joiners, salary changes and annual entitlements)

· Respond to queries in person and electronically

· To provide data analysis as required, such as gender pay audit and pension scheme members

· Wider support to the HR team to assist with activities such as recruitment and staff training administration

Whilst experience in payroll would be highly desirable, it is not an essential requirement. We do however need you to have a broad range of administration experience ideally within an HR or payroll team. Along with the ability to work with up-to-date technology and platforms, essential criteria for this role includes;

· Exceptional numerical aptitude with great attention to detail and accuracy

· Experience in a range of software packages such as SharePoint, Excel, HR or payroll systems

· Confident to analyse data and insight to inform decision making / process improvement

· Experience of preparing employment related correspondence

· Display a supportive, positive 'can do!' attitude and be willing to adapt to changes in a new job role

· Prepared to attend the office in Leicester 3 days per week as per agile working policy
