Full Job Description

We are Justintime Healthcare working with a variety of Service users and homes in areas of Wakefield. Recruiting for friendly, caring, compassionate, hardworking homecare assistants. To Join our team, you will contribute to delivering person-centered care within these homes, catering to service users with diverse and complex care needs, including children, young adults and adults with autism and ADHD conditions. We provide attractive hourly rates, flexible work schedules, and weekly pay.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • To be an integral part of the team to support with all aspects of the care role.

  • Provide support with mobility and help service users move around.

  • Assist service users with personal care (Undressing, bathing, dressing, toileting, pad changes).

  • Assist service users with their meals.

  • Interact with service users in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

  • Ensure the comfort and safety of the service users, including the maintenance of a clean and organized environment.

  • Use any mechanical and non-mechanical aids to help the residents when moving.

  • Communicate with other colleagues and senior-level staff.

  • Maintain Confidentiality.

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of service user's activities, Updating notes accordingly in care plans, etc.

    Experience working with and supporting children, young adults and adults with autism and ADHD conditions.

  • Awareness of health and safety issues and strategies to mitigate risks when working with children, young adults and adults.

  • Qualifications in childcare, youth work, rehabilitation, habitation, social care, or related fields.

  • Previous experience in child and adult support, or a related role in the healthcare or social services sector with not less than 6 months in the United Kingdom.

  • Valid driving license or access to a car for travel.

  • Must have a care certificate.

  • Must hold an enhanced DBS on update.

  • Experience in managing activities or developing sessions for children, young adults and adults.

  • Commitment to diversity and equality in the workplace.
