Full Job Description

You will work with:

  • Providing technical assistance to Project Managers (PMs), Customer Order Processors (COPs), Operations, and Sales teams.

  • Conducting design reviews and validating materials to ensure project success.

  • Managing and updating product information in our ERP system.

  • Establishing quality control (QC) standards for both standard products and project-specific requirements, collaborating with PMs as needed.

  • Performing QC audits to maintain internal quality assurance standards.

  • Managing item creation and updates in ERP systems

  • We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to join NOV as a Technical Manager in with our Fiber Glass Systems UK team in Plymouth. The position is crafted for individuals with a design or engineering degree who possess a passion for problem-solving and a desire to learn and grow.

    In-house product and process training will be provided, specific to the composite and thermoplastic materials and manufacturing processes provided by NOV FGS UK.

    As a Technical Manager, you provide essential technical support and guidance to our diverse team, fabrication, and our customers. Your ability to communicate effectively across various disciplines, coupled with your proficiency in report writing and eagerness to learn technical subjects, will be instrumental in your success in this role.

    In this role, you will manage technical data through our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. While the role does involve IT literacy, we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills.,
  • Hold a degree in design or engineering, showcasing their professional and technical mindset.

  • Demonstrate IT literacy, with a willingness to learn and adapt to managing technical data through our ERP system.

  • Ideally, have some background in reviewing or producing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings.


  • The position is based in Plymouth, but we are open for candidates within the UK that are willing to relocate and with current right to work.
