Extended Scope Practitioner

The role of an Advanced MSK Clinician is fundamentally about the consistent delivery of quality clinical management of musculoskeletal conditions for the patients presenting to the intermediate care service, who at times may be complex. You will be integral to providing that front line care and support to patients suffering from musculoskeletal conditions.

• Previous experience in delivering MSK services with tangible results.


• Appropriate professional registration in line with your professional discipline (HCPC, SST, BASRaT, GOsC etc)


• A keen and enthusiastic clinician with a commitment to providing excellent, personalised care.


• An understanding of the impact of MSK pain in the wider community and how collaborative working across the local system enables prevention and addresses health inequalities


• Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner, within your scope of practice


• Passion for delivering a quality clinical service meeting the clinical and operational needs of the MSK service


• Stakeholder management skills to develop and foster productive relationships with local groups, charities, GPs, and other potentially productive links., Experience as an Extended Scope Practitioner or similar role


• Advanced assessment and diagnostic skills


• Ability to perform treatments within scope of practice


• Strong collaboration and communication skills
