Vonage Product Management Mission: The Vonage API Communications Group is an emerging leader in the $10B+ cloud communications platform (CPaaS) market. Customers such as Airbnb, Viber, Whatsapp, Snapchat, and many others depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world.

Why this role matters

As Vonage API Platform global communication networks and channels grow the greater the need for implementing carrier and country regulation changes and fraud management to stop bad actors using our platform.

This is a pivotal role in the Product Team working transversely with our Product Managers and business owners to solve and assist in the implementation of software based fraud and vetting products.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead product development of our anti-fraud and vetting portfolio. As an expert product manager within the team you will be responsible for driving innovation within the portfolio, prototyping and developing new solutions and driving growth across the portfolio as well as supporting core product managers with product development and delivery of the existing portfolio.

What you will do

Own the Vonage fraud prevention roadmap by working with Carrier, Security, Legal, and individual Product Managers to provide technical solutions and manage delivery
Research and test new anti-fraud innovations, build prototypes, evaluate solutions and develop business cases for new product development.
Work with customers, partners, internal stakeholders and industry bodies to identify new market opportunities for growth, and to foster constructive industry collaboration to protect customers, end consumers, and carriers.
Provide technical leadership to support experienced Product Managers through the product development process of developing technical solutions to address anti-fraud requirements
Work with the Head of Fraud & Regulatory Product on portfolio strategy, quarterly business reporting & planning cycles.

Experience working on-the-ground delivering fraud or compliance solutions for SaaS providers or similar services
Subject matter expertise on fraud attack vectors and regulatory compliance requirements
Understanding of software development and processes within security and compliance realm
Ability to work with different stakeholders across the business from software Engineers through to Finance, Security, Legal and Operations teams, Strong knowledge and experience in areas including telecom fraud and regulations, KYC, and Data Sovereignty, Cloud Security
Previous experience of working with engineers to identify and implement fraud and compliance fixes and solutions
Strong knowledge in data protection and compliance, security-oriented cloud services, fraud vector analytics, and threat detection and prevention
Proven experience working as a business subject matter expert or in a leadership capacity within fraud & regulations
Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant sector and function
Minimum 3 years of Product or Operational Management experience
Experience in telco, cloud or finance industries preferred

Desired

Computer Science degree or similar technical qualification or BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field
In-depth knowledge of telecom industrys compliance and regulations
Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
An analytical mind able to see the complexities of procedures and regulations
Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools
Able to work with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc.
