Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity to support a Visually Impaired lady in her role as a teacher of visually impaired children. You will complete this role until this academic year is completed in July, and recommence in September 2024 at the start of the next academic year.

We are looking for a friendly and approachable support worker to assist a lady in her day-to-day work. She is registered blind and visits different schools and colleges. The ideal candidate will be a female driver to enable her to get to these destinations easily. Your responsibilities will primarily be given to you by the client but some tasks include, observing students, typing and editing reports, sighted guiding, completing administrative tasks, logging visits and attending meetings and training sessions.

  • Driver with access to their own vehicle, mileage is paid at 0.45pm per mile and business insurance will be needed

  • Hours; 32 per week

    Shift pattern(s) available; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am-5pm. Some days you may finish earlier, this will depend on the day and the tasks required., · A contract that works for you; Term time fixed hours (39 weeks across a 52 week calendar year)
