Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Coordinator - Worcester, Worcestershire

We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Co-ordinator to join our team at Platform Housing Group. This is a vital role in helping to support and promote Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding policy across the business.

This is a brand-new role supporting the DA and Safeguarding Manager by providing administrative and business support. You will have the opportunity to bring forward new ideas that will make a real difference to the team and the wider business.

What could you be doing?

In this role you will co-ordinate and provide administration support for the Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Manager. This will include the co-ordination of communications, arranging meetings, and typing of minutes and reports.

You will also help to produce and format regular reports to show monthly data and annual safeguarding reports. You will also be involved in campaigns to help raise awareness of Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding initiatives and best practises.

The role is also responsible for actively monitoring Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding cases, ensuring these are effectively triaged and any concerns being raised the DA and Safeguarding Manager. You will also use your communication skills to effectively engage with Platform colleagues and wider communities and external partners.

This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week. We would ideally like the successful candidate to work across five days however we can be flexible around this. This role is on a 2-year fixed term contract. Interviews are currently scheduled to take place in-person at our Worcester office.

Experience in the Housing industry or working with safeguarding cases would be preferred, however we would consider applicants from other sectors.

Experience of working in a Co-ordinator or Administrative role.

Demonstrable experience of managing a busy workload, whilst maintaining excellent customer care and attention to detail.

A commitment to working as part of a team, and willing to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, bringing forward new ideas.

An ability to work empathetically, dealing with sensitive information confidentially.

This is a home-based role however you will be required to travel into our Worcester office approximately once a week. Travel to our Birmingham Business Park office may be required on an ad-hoc basis., Disability Confident
