Full Job Description

  • Deputise at any time for all members of an Onsite Customer Operations team through to and including the manager's position.

  • Ensure that sales orders are promptly loaded onto the systems at acceptable margin levels, savings achievement, and customer delivery requirements

  • Ensure that purchase orders are promptly loaded onto the systems utilising established preferred sources of supply where possible

  • Ensure that reporting team members have clearly defined tasks and objectives and that they deliver the required standards of performance.

  • Research and identify supply options where preferred suppliers have not been previously determined or cannot supply within required timescales

  • Maintain and establish strong customer relationships

  • To travel to and from Customer sites across the UK

  • Regular staying away from home required - location all dependent on site with required support

  • Please note we have support staff based across the UK and will endeavour to keep staff as close to home as possible, BUT, this is a role that requires national coverage


  • Working hours:

    Mon - Fri: 8am- 5pm

    Breaks: 1 hour

    Weekly hours: 40

  • Knowledge and proficiency with systems. i.e. SAP, Excel

  • Previous experience in the engineering industry is desirable but not essential

  • Willing to travel across the UK

  • Potential staying away from home Monday - Friday

  • Managerial and/ or team lead experience

  • Located in Central East England (ideally Sheffield or surrounding towns/ cities)
