Suffolk Libraries is a charitable organisation, independent of Suffolk County Council, which runs the library service throughout Suffolk.

Suffolk Libraries are growing our creative health provision for the region. We are looking for a creative professional who is passionate about the potential of libraries as the gateway into culture, and see's creativity as a catalyst for social change. Suffolk Libraries believes that by building opportunities for creativity into people's daily lives we can address societal issues such as loneliness, depression, anxiety as well as generally support people's wellbeing day-to-day. We are committed to innovation and changing the public's perception of what libraries have to offer. The role will lead the development of a new creative health strand with a core focus on supporting the development of Suffolk's community artists and freelance workforce to respond to the needs of the evolving cultural, social and clinical sectors.
We are looking for someone who

  • Has a proven knowledge of Suffolk's creative health landscape.

  • Is highly professional with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of working.

  • Has excellent communication skills and is able to establish good working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

  • Thinks big, is curious and prepared to experiment with new ways of working.

  • Has experience of using and interpreting analytics data to support planning.

  • Is ambitious, with a willingness to access training opportunities to further their personal professional development., Disability Confident

    This position is a hybrid role working 37 hours per week, £30,000, for a fixed term until March 2026 with potential to extend dependent on funding.
    (NB. Flexible hours are also available, and applicants will also be considered for a minimum of 30 hours per week.) Due to the breadth of the organisation, this role will require work across multiple sites so a willingness to travel is essential.
