Full Job Description

We are looking for a capable and committed project officer, with experience of working in environmental community engagement and/or mental health and wellbeing support.

The 'Connecting People and Nature' project is run in partnership with the Ernest Cook Trust and this role is part of a small team delivering outdoor learning and wellbeing activity across the Forest of Bowland National Landscape in Lancashire and North Yorkshire. It is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Following on from the successes of the Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership and it's 'People Enjoying Nature' project, the National Landscape Partnership now wants to deliver wellbeing and inclusive engagement work across the whole of the Forest of Bowland area. The two-year funded project will be working closely with neighbouring urban communities from the Preston and Lancaster areas, which are currently under served, and with practitioners and partners involved in mental health, green social prescribing and nature and wellbeing.

If you have a passion for nature and a desire to improve wellbeing for more people, we want to hear from you! You will also need good organisational and communication skills, project management experience, and inspirational qualities.
