Assistant / Graduate Quantity Surveyor

With the Full Fibre Network Build sector booming, GCU is excited to welcome an Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team on contracts in Gateshead and Newcastle We are committed to fostering a supportive work environment where inquisitive, eager-to-learn individuals feel empowered to seek advice and guidance.

Under the direction of the Commercial Manager, you will be supported and prepared to excel in the following areas:

• Estimating and cost planning



• Contract administration and cost control



• Measuring and valuing works on-site



• Cost reporting on work



• Final account preparation



• Contract and dispute resolution



• Client and site-based engagement



• Monthly valuations, commercial reporting, and managing variations and expenditure



• Prioritizing health and safety, risk management, and margin control in all tasks



• Ensuring adherence to sub-contracts and managing sub-contractor payments


We are looking for candidates who hold or are graduating with a HND or above in Quantity Surveying.
