Apprentice Floorlayer EJS FLOORING LTD

You will work in domestic or commercial buildings alongside an experienced worker to carry out preparation & installation works.

You will be expected to assist with:

• Measuring floor space & estimating the quantity of materials needed


• Uplifting old flooring


• Cleaning, levelling & preparing the subfloor


• Installing underlays for a range of floor coverings


• Installing various floor coverings (carpet, luxury vinyl tiles, sheet resilient flooring) to industry standards


• Creating joins in a range of floor coverings


The training you will be getting

You will achieve the Level 2 Floorlayer Apprenticeship Standard by attending CP Assessments Training Centre in Denaby Main, Doncaster to undertake 10 block-release training sessions (4 days), every 10 weeks.

The successful candidate will work towards their Functional Skills in both Maths and English if they have not achieved this prior or have an equivalent.

Apprentices will also get an Apprentice CSCS card which can be upgraded on completion of the apprenticeship.

Established in 2022, EJS Flooring specialises in wet room floor installation across England. Approximately 70% of our work involves wet room floors, which we handle throughout the country. Our contract with a company supplying bathrooms to Bradford Council ensures a steady workload year-round. Beyond wet room floors, we also undertake projects involving LVT, Carpet/Tiles, Engineered Wood, and Sheet Vinyl. We believe in fostering long-term growth and expertise through apprenticeships.

Wages will be reviewed on 6 monthly basis. Lodging allowances provided when working away from home. Works van provided for the right candidate (Full UK driving license required.)
