Supply Chain Lead in Great Yarmouth at Probe Oil Tools Limited

Probe are currently looking to hire a Supply Chain Lead, on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for the sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of all goods & services in an accurate and timely manner to support all operational activities.,

• Source goods and services & obtaining quotes from suppliers, ensuring that specification, quality, budgetary cost, and delivery quoted match the requirements from the requestor.


• To negotiate and place purchase orders, ensuring schedule reporting and delivery promises are maintained by vendors with information communicated to the relevant business area and any other stakeholders.


• Assist end user departments with price bid enquiries.


• Responsible for continually working and building relationships with 'key' suppliers to ensure clear scope definition and cost reduction programs. Regular management and control of costs with the respective suppliers


• To expedite orders in accordance with Purchase Order requirements. Working with suppliers to maintain or improve the requested lead time. Updating the ERP system and requestor accordingly


• Managing and reviewing supplier performance scorecards


• Where applicable, sourcing, negotiation and co-ordinating of rental requirements with suppliers for the operational support activity and where applicable communicating delivery status to the requestor


• Attending and facilitating supplier meetings and audits when appropriate.


• Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve purchasing procedures and increase efficiency.


• Contribute to the Supply Chain KPI's


• Assist the Accounts Department with invoice queries requiring clarification.


• Represent Claxton on client audits on behalf of supply chain covering GY activities.


• Ensure all purchasing activities are in accordance with IMS procedures and processes.


• Research and source new suppliers for consideration of approval.


• Ensure that supplier documentation records are kept up to date and renewed as required.


• Support all procurement initiatives or supply chain tasks as provided by managers.
  
  A minimum of five National 5 grades/GCSEs (or equivalent)


• Understanding of procurement functions and systems.


• Proven experience within a procurement role.


• Experienced user of ERP Systems, ideally Navision and Armada.


• Experienced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can build relationships and communicate effectively.


• Strong Negotiator.


• Astute commercial awareness.


• Ability to adapt and amend workload priorities in a regularly changing environment.


• Excellent organisational and time management skills.


• Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and versatile.


• Self-motivated and can-do attitude


• Ability to plan, organise and deliver.
