Full Job Description

As a Supervisor at Labcorp you will be responsible for a team of technicians undertaking specific tasks in support of Genetic Toxicology studies along with carrying out technician duties.

Duties include:

  • Providing supervisory and operational support necessary for the preparation, conduct or reporting of studies carried out within Genetic Toxicology

  • Accountability for overall accuracy, soundness, quality, timeliness and completeness of all work performed in the area of responsibility

  • Responsibility for scheduling; allocating resources within the operational/support group/section; overall responsibility for training and supervision of all operational/scientific/support staff

  • Responsibility for study data, raw data and/or reporting quality, to include equipment metrology and functionality (where applicable)

  • Direct responsibility for all staff working in the operational/support group/section assigned to

    Do you have a scientific background?

    Are you looking for a varied role which allows you to stay close to the science in the lab and also have direct reports?

    Do you have experience supervising a team or are you looking for your next step in to management?,
  • Minimum A-levels or equivalent. Degree in relevant scientific field preferred. Experience may be substituted for education, Supervisory experience within a laboratory, preferably working to regulatory standards such as GLP

  • Previous expereince of staff management including development and training

  • Genetic Toxicology knowledge and/or experience is advantageous

  • Aseptic techniques or cell culture experience desirable with in vitro mammalian cell assay

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills paired with attention to detail
