Full Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organised individual to join our Translational Science Immune Monitoring group in Hammersmith.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role, where you will be an integral part of a team that is at the forefront of scientific discovery.

Our laboratory is dedicated to supporting the collection, processing, and analysis of Translational Science samples derived from clinical trial patients who have been administered our product. We perform a range of immunoassays and data analysis to investigate immune response in trial patients, and operate to a high level of compliance aligned with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).

We are seeking candidates with a robust immunology background and hands-on experience in running immunoassays. Experience in molecular biology (RNA extraction, NGS), multicolour flow cytometry, ELISpot and/or cytokine analysis within a GxP environment would be highly advantageous.

  • Lead and perform a range of molecular and immunoassays on clinical trial samples to support the Translational Science laboratory team.

  • Review, analyse, and contextualise datasets from clinical trial samples, meeting delivery timelines.

  • Liaise with the analysis and data management team to manage data analysis and data flagging/handling.

  • Support the Translational Science team to ensure collection and processing of clinical trial samples and timely delivery of data.

  • Generate quality documentation to support clinical trial activities (SOP's, deviations, training materials, data reports) in addition to completing laboratory assay and processing worksheets in accordance with GCLP and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) guidelines.

  • Interact with key stakeholders to drive cross-functional projects and data interpretation.

  • Train junior and new members of the team in TS procedures

    Essential:

  • PhD (or equivalent experience) in immunology or relevant subject

  • Laboratory experience within industry

  • Demonstrable knowledge of cancer biology and immunology

  • Experience working with human biological samples.

  • Extensive experience running immunoassays and/or molecular assays, including assay development and troubleshooting

  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, strong written skills and attention to detail

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrable ability to foster strong working relationships and show initiative.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Flexibility to accommodate out of hours working (evenings and weekends - time-in-lieu system in place)


  • Desirable:
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment e.g., GLP, GMP or GCLP

  • Experience of analysing data from clinical trials

  • Experience writing and reviewing quality documentation (SOP's, deviations, filenotes, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of Human Tissue Authority legislation
