Location: Sainsburys Depots in and around Northamptonshire & Bedfordshire

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday with rostered on call duty manager weekends

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for Distribution Security Operations Manager to manage the Security Officer provision in the Sainsbury's depots covering the Northamptonshire & Bedfordshire area.

We are looking for a people leader who has a passion for leading their team to be the best they possibly can through utilising their people skills. The successful candidate will be able to liaise closely with the clients management team to support their depots in being a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors at the depots they are responsible for.

You must hold a current SIA licence or valid SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.

Main duties:

• Effectively manage your designated portfolio of distribution centres, ensuring that all contracted hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the complete satisfaction of the client


• Contribute to the success of the Sainsbury's contract by ensuring that all officers receive effective training and continuous on-going colleague coaching


• Support the Senior Account Manager and client by delivering loss prevention strategy through the effective delivery of loss prevention and security policies and procedures within your designated portfolio


• Managing recruitment and succession planning to ensure that your logistics portfolio has the capability to deliver consistent high levels of service


• Liaise with the on-site management team within your portfolio of depots, attending all relevant meetings and implementing any actions agreed within recognised SLA's and appropriate timescales


• Ensure adequate and appropriate training, advice and support is provided to the security team to support them in being the best they can possibly be


• Support the operational management teams to identify the key areas around loss and implement long lasting and sustainable measures removing any risk that will erode profitability utilising key support functions
