Renewable Energy (PPA) Markets & Pricing Analyst

As a PPA Market & Pricing Analyst within our Editorial & Analysis team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing transparency within the Northern European PPA markets (Nordics & Benelux). You will directly influence our client's investment decisions by providing transparent PPA reference prices and critical market insights on PexaQuote. Your work will contribute significantly to our mission of bringing transparency to the PPA landscape and supporting renewable energy investments.

We're seeking candidates with a deep understanding of power markets and renewables, ideally with experience in PPA markets. You should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to generating insight from the market.

This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of the evolving PPA market, directly contributing to advancing renewable energy investments. If you are passionate about renewable energy and have the skills and experience we need, we would love to hear from you!

How will you help:

• Owning the development and calibration of PPA reference prices for Nordic and Benelux markets: Interpret and analyze data from Pexapark's monthly price polls, and directly gather market price evidence by engaging with market participants. Ensure that our Pexapark reference prices accurately represent the market, and collaborate closely with our Quant benchmarking team in the price calibration process.


• PPA Market Monitoring and Market Analysis: Continuously monitor the market and produce weekly and quarterly reports through quantitative and qualitative analyses of PPA market and pricing trends, focusing on key drivers such as forward prices, capture factors, supply-demand dynamics and risk expectations from the market. Deliver regular commentary on PPA market activity in the Nordics and Benelux to PexaQuote users, addressing the impact of regulatory changes, government auctions, and subsidy schemes.


• Tracking the Storage Market trends in Hybrid PPAs: Track and interpret the regulatory landscape for battery energy storage in the relevant markets, and explore relevant trends in wholesale and ancillary services energy markets.


• Networking and Industry Engagement: Maintain and expand your industry network, engaging with key stakeholders, PPA buyers, and sellers in targeted European regions, and actively participating in major renewable energy events., Put the customer interest first - We help our customers succeed

  Proven experience in renewable or power market analysis, with a focus on Northern European or Nordic renewable energy markets and direct exposure to PPAs. Alternatively, several years of experience as a price reporter or journalist covering power markets.


• Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of distilling complex market data into clear, actionable insights.


• Excellent writing and editing skills, able to produce clear, accurate, and impactful written insights.


• A well-established professional network in origination, renewable power trading, and previous exposure to PPA buyers and investors in renewable assets.


• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
