Full Job Description

  • Promoting positive and Person-Centred Care for all Residents.

  • Managing risk appropriately and safely.

  • Leading and developing staff across all departments within the home.

  • Ensuring all staff are trained to the required levels.

  • Implementing and managing audits and care plans.

  • Employee relations, including staff communications, managing absence, disciplinaries , grievances and sickness.

  • Actively ensuring the Home has the highest possible level of occupancy by utilising links with the local community, and positively marketing the Home.

  • Managing medication.

    Holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care

  • Has Previous RM experience within a care home for the elderly.

  • Is able to commit to full time hours including some weekends and evenings

  • Has confidence using computers/technology.

  • Is confident with CQC inspections.

    We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager for our privately owned 20 bed elderly care home based in Plymstock, Plymouth.

    The Retreat Care home is a 400 year old grade 2 listed building which provides a homely, peaceful and tranquil environment to all those in our care.
    Rated good by CQC.
