Full Job Description

At Debach Enterprise ltd, we work in the transport and logistics sector to provide first class service to our customers in all their warehousing and transport needs.

Based at our main site in Ipswich, as Quality Control, you will report to the Operations Manager and work as part of a busy team to achieve excellent quality and efficiency to meet agreed service levels.

To achieve in this role, working at height will be required so experience working in a warehouse is preferred. A hardworking and ambitious attitude with a strive for delivering a high-quality service is what we are looking for and will help you achieve in this role.

Your hours of work will be Monday - Friday 7:45am - 16:30pm with occasional extra hours where required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Always follow Health & Safety Policy & Company Procedures, reporting relevant concerns to your line manager or Health and Safety Officer.

  • Ensuring that goods inwards notifications are received and correct, before goods arrive (especially excise).

  • Resolve any received damages / discrepancies at intake plus QC all correct goods in with signature, printed name and date.

  • Check all notes, catalogue & investigate any discrepancies and if necessary, escalate to the Operations Manager.

  • Intake & despatch processes must be carried out for each operation, with no exceptions, these processes may evolve over time, but they currently utilise photographic evidence.

  • All QC processes will be updated with tablets so experience of using tablets and phones apps is a must.

  • Assist with stock checks and cycle checks as required across the Company and as directed by the Operations Manager.

  • Assist Warehouse operatives in solving stock issues as they arise.

  • Before finishing each shift, top canopy must be visually inspected to check all goods due in or goods due for collection have gone, or check they are still being loaded out that day. Any BRC covered or high value goods must be moved back to safe zones before the end of operations that day.

  • Assist with holiday cover for other Warehouse QC team members.

  • General warehouse duties including palletisation of goods and housekeeping if required.

  • Reporting of the warehouse or stock issues to Warehouse Manager/Operations Manager.

    Full UK driving Licence preferred
