Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within Secure Inpatient Services for experienced and qualified Health Care Assistants who currently hold an NVQ / Diploma L2 / L3 in Health and Social Care.

Your qualification must be accredited (officially recognised). This gives assurance that your qualification has met standards set by external regulators. The awarding body (examinations board) must be recognised by either Ofqual (for England); CCEA (for Northern Ireland); Welsh Government (for Wales) or SQA (for Scotland). Some examples of the awarding bodies we use/accept for Health and Social Care are: City and Guilds; NCFE; Cache; NOCN; Pearson;

You will be required to be innovative, flexible and able to engage service users and their carers. Strong team working principles are essential; you will work with a variety of people as well as work in partnership with a range of disciplines and providers both internal and external to the service.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting and challenging role and will afford the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team that is focused on delivering high standards of care through evidenced based practice.

We will support you by offering regular supervision, training opportunities and encourage your development and role within this team on the delivery of Patient Centred Care, support for carers and evidence based practice, working in a whole systems approach with our partner agencies.

Main Duties of the role is supporting the wards in delivering excellent patient care and assisting the Nurse in Charge in completing nursing tasks / jobs and care rounds / observations.
