Full Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, confident self-starter looking to join our growing award-winning team at Motive. As part of your role, you will work with clients on events across the UK and Europe working on delivering exhibition stand projects.

You will play a key part in delivering exhibition stands, taking them from initial concepts, through to delivery at the event. This will include being the key point of contact for clients and internally for each project.

What will you do as a Project Manager?

  • You will work on exhibition stand projects, to take from concept through to completion, on time and within budget.

  • You will be the key point of contact for each project, and communicate with customers and internal team members to deliver the project.

  • You will internally work with the Design, Production and Operations team, alongside external suppliers and partners to deliver each project.

    You will be responsible for:
  • Working with clients through the design, production and installation process, keeping them updated throughout their project

  • Managing budgets for each project

  • Meeting with clients to discuss stand design, educate them on options and discuss the details to meet their brief

  • Sourcing materials and items from new and existing suppliers

  • Working closely with internal teams to take a stand design from concept to reality, including being part of design meetings, production meetings, looking at operations and discussing requirements to make it happen.

  • Ordering components to meet production and delivery schedules

  • Managing timeframes and deadlines for each project to ensure they are delivered on time

  • Creating detailed project documents and working with the design and operations teams to deliver a successful project

  • Booking services for exhibitions including power, vehicle passes, carpet, rigging and other services that may be required as part of the project.

  • Managing organiser requirements including creating and submitting CDM documentation for builds.

  • Visiting exhibitions when required in a project management role, including overseeing a build, handing over stands to clients or running a multi-stand exhibition build.

    A background in the exhibition industry

  • Excellent eye for detail

  • A driving license will be required, as you will need to visit clients and venues across the UK., Project Management: 2 years (preferred)
