Full Job Description

HISP Teaching School Hub (TSH) is part of the network of 87 centres of excellence across the country for teacher training and development set up in September 2021. Accredited by the Department for Education, HISP TSH delivers and supports initial teacher training (ITT), delivers the Early Career Framework (ECF), provides an Appropriate Body (AB) service, delivers the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), and provides continuous professional development (CPD) to schools across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Southampton, and Portsmouth. At HISP TSH we support the development of teachers working in all phases and types of schools, helping teachers to progress through whichever career pathway they choose, raising teaching standards and contributing significantly to school improvement.

Hours: x4 days per week (open to full time (x5 days per week) for a candidate who can offer Primary ITT facilitation for our SCITT provision), Following our successful re-designation as a TSH for the next four years, and to support our growth and scale up of activity, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Programmes Lead to lead the day-to-day and operational management of all TSH ECF and NPQ programme activities and services. The successful candidate will provide high quality support and guidance to programme participants and School Leaders and impact positively and directly on the quality of ECF-based induction training for ECTs, and learning for NPQ programme participants, across and beyond the HISP regions., HISP Multi Academy Trust believe in building excellent educational environments that inspire and unlock potential in all our school communities. We currently have six schools within our Trust covering the age ranges from nursery to 18. The trust has a clear vision for careful growth, ensuring that we remain focused on sustainable school improvement.

· Is a qualified teacher, with a track record of excellent classroom practice or who can offer deep education sector experience without a teaching qualification and has proven teaching and facilitation skills.

· Has experience of mentoring and coaching and in leading/ facilitating training for school staff.

· Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal/ listening skills.

· Good organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks and respond to change in a complex and demanding environment.
