Full Job Description

Our colleagues are the heart of everything we do - we're caring, dynamic and we succeed together. As a People & Culture (HR) Administrator you will provide administrative support to the wider People and Culture (HR) function for the retail side of the business within the UK.

What you'll do:

Provide administrative support relating to recruitment and onboarding, learning and development, employee relations, reasonable adjustments, and general operations. Examples include:

  • Producing contracts for retail management new starters, as well as reference checks and personnel file administration.

  • Coordinate an end to end process should anyone need any reasonable adjustments throughout their selection and onboarding process.

  • Coordinate events for team development.

  • Produce data access requests within the legal deadlines.

  • Update and maintain all information on the Workday HR system, providing regular and ad hoc reporting when required.

  • You'll also promote People and Culture activities in accordance with company policy, procedures, and legislation such as GDPR.


  • This role is exceptional varied and is a great opportunity for the right person to start their HR career supporting all specialisms in an HR function.

  • Previous administration experience is required as well as proven Microsoft Excel experience.

  • Effective planning and organisation skills. You will be working at pace with a high volume of tasks so a good eye for detail is key.

  • You'll be proactive by nature - you will find resolutions for any issues that arise so disruption to your day is minimal.

  • Proven ability in handling sensitive matters whilst ensuring all Primark information remains confidential to the business.

  • Be a collaborative partner with good interpersonal/communication skills, while demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and possess the ability to push back with professionalism.

  • Salary: £29,484 with 27 days annual leave (with option to purchase more), and a generous pension contribution
